How does BAITL integrate with my practice management software?

BAITL currently integrates with Cliniko via its official API. Once connected, BAITL securely syncs appointment data in real time. When a patient arrives and checks in, BAITL automatically notifies the practitioner. Patients can also pay invoices, book or rebook appointments, and view both upcoming and past appointments. All appointment data remains accurate and up to date without any manual input from your team. We're continually improving BAITL and adding new features to further support front-of-house clinic operations.

Who sets BAITL up: us or you?

Clinics can set themselves up directly within BAITL. Once your clinic details and data have been entered, we review, approve, and activate the clinic on our end. Most clinics are fully set up and ready to go within 30 to 60 minutes, with onboarding support available if needed.

What payment methods are supported?

BAITL supports a range of payment options, including: EFTPOS New Zealand Stripe wallet payments, including Apple Pay and Google Pay Online bank transfer. If a patient wishes to pay by bank transfer, BAITL can display your business bank account details. Payments are automatically matched to the patient's invoice. Transaction reports can be generated for any date range, helping ensure appointments are paid and reconciled in real time.

Does BAITL store patient information?

No. BAITL is designed to act as a thin layer between your kiosk and your practice management software, not as a repository for patient information. Patient names, dates of birth, and contact details remain in your Cliniko account, not ours. We retrieve this information only when a patient is checking in or making a payment, and it is not permanently stored by BAITL. BAITL does not have access to, or store, clinical notes, diagnoses, or treatment information. Patient data is protected using AES-256 encryption between the kiosk and our servers, in addition to standard HTTPS/TLS encryption for data in transit. Does BAITL store credit card information?

No. We've deliberately designed BAITL so that card details never pass through or are stored on our servers. In-clinic card payments are processed through your certified EFTPOS terminal. BAITL receives only the transaction result: the masked card reference (e.g. ****1234), the payment amount, and the transaction status. Online payments are securely processed through Stripe Checkout, including Apple Pay and Google Pay. Patients enter their payment details directly with Stripe, not within BAITL. Subscription billing for your clinic is managed through the Stripe Customer Portal. As with online payments, payment details are stored securely by Stripe, not BAITL. Because BAITL never processes or stores cardholder data, it is not required to maintain PCI DSS certification. Payment security and PCI DSS compliance are handled by Stripe.

Can I use BAITL on a tablet in my waiting room?

No problem. BAITL is completely optional for patients. Reception staff or practitioners can continue to assist patients as needed, including using BAITL on their behalf. BAITL also includes accessibility features such as adjustable text size for vision-impaired patients, and we're continually improving the platform to make it as user-friendly and inclusive as possible for all patient needs.

Do patients need to create an account or log in?

No. Patients can check in, pay, and manage their appointment through BAITL without creating an account or remembering login details. The experience is designed to be fast, simple, and friction-free.

BAITL requires an active internet connection to sync appointments and process payments. If connectivity is temporarily unavailable, reception staff or practitioners can continue managing check-ins and payments through your usual processes until the connection is restored.

Yes. We offer onboarding assistance and ongoing support to ensure BAITL runs smoothly in your clinic, for a one-off fee of $25. If you ever need help or have feedback, our team is easy to reach and available via email to assist.

Question 16

What happens after the 30-day free trial?

After your 30-day free trial ends, you'll automatically move onto your selected subscription plan. Our standard BAITL subscription is $56 per kiosk per month , with billing available monthly, annually, every two years, or every three years. Longer-term plans offer greater savings, with discounts equivalent to up to five months' free subscription. You can cancel at any time during your free trial if BAITL isn't the right fit for your clinic. No payment will be taken if you cancel before the trial ends.

Do you support multiple clinic locations?

Yes. Pricing is per kiosk, so a multi-location clinic with one kiosk per site pays the per-kiosk rate for each site. All clinics in your organisation are billed together on one subscription. See the pricing table on the home page for the per-kiosk rate at each commitment length.

Can I cancel, pause, or restart my subscription?

Yes. BAITL subscriptions can be cancelled at any time. Your access will continue until the end of your current billing period, whether monthly or annual. If you cancel, we can pause your clinic profile rather than remove it. Your setup and data are retained, and you can reactivate BAITL at any time, no need to start from scratch.
